Meet The Founders
We live in Walterboro on a small horse farm with our two boys. On our favorite days you will find us playing ball outside while our animals roam the farm with good tunes playing in the background. We're passionate about sharing our love of music with our community, and creating spaces where aspiring musicians can grow and thrive.
Dan is a co-founder of Vinyl Music School, alongside his wife, Sarah. A seasoned producer and musician, he runs The Barn Studio on his property, hosting and collaborating with artists. He also co-leads the premium events band Velvet Bay Groove Co., where he plays keyboards, and he also plays for his local church. Our lessons focus on pop/rock chord styles, teaching students to play the music they love. Rather than relying solely on books, our students learn to read chord charts, improvise, and perform in a modern setting (like Taylor Swift or Morgan Wallen!).
